Arrow Electronics has signed a new distribution agreement with Broadcom for VMware solutions in 20 European countries. Under the new agreement, Arrow will continue to serve the channel in the countries where it was a VMware distributor prior to Broadcom’s acquisition, as well as in the Czech Republic, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Switzerland.

Arrow and its supported channel partners are tasked with helping Broadcom drive adoption of VMware private cloud infrastructure and transition its broad VMware customer base to the new subscription licensing model for VMware software. With its expertise and experience in the new VMware go-to-market strategy, Arrow aims to strengthen its local channel partners and help ensure that customers get the most value from their investment in VMware software.

Under the agreement, Arrow will continue to deliver the full portfolio of VMware solutions for private cloud infrastructure, including the new offerings: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF), VMware vSphere Standard and VMware vSphere Essentials Plus Kit and standard, as well as add-ons such as VMware vSAN andVMware Live Recovery. 

Extensive VMware Background

“Arrow will play a critical role in helping Broadcom with our go-to-market strategy within the region,” said Cynthia Loyd, VP of global partner and commercial sales at Broadcom.Arrow will expand its role to provide technical support capabilities for select products and customers, unlocking access to VMware support and localized expertise in the customer’s preferred language. This Arrow-provided service for select VMware solutions is an extension of Broadcom support, allowing Arrow to enhance the commercial customer experience through accessibility, specialized knowledge and personalized assistance.

By working with Arrow, IT channel partners would gain access to Arrow’s technical knowledge, training programs and certified resources. This would enable channel partners to deliver high-quality support services throughout the commercial customer lifecycle. Together, Broadcom and Arrow will continue to provide an integrated support experience to ensure the highest level of service for customers of all sizes.
