Park Place Technologies, a global provider of data center and networking optimization solutions, has made a significant move in Brazil’s tech market. The company has acquired Unitech’s third-party maintenance (TPM) business, solidifying its position as one of the largest TPM providers in the country. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This strategic acquisition would mark a significant milestone for both Park Place and Unitech. Founded in 1989, Unitech claims to have built a strong reputation over the years, catering to a diverse clientele that includes major financial institutions, telecommunication giants, and utility companies. By joining forces with Park Place, Unitech aims to further enhance its services and expand its reach across Brazil.

Ramon Hasky, the owner of Unitech, expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting the shared values and customer-centric approach of both companies. He emphasized the benefits that Park Place’s global expertise and innovative IT lifecycle portfolio would bring to Unitech’s existing client base. “With nearly 20,000 Unitech assets now under its management, Park Place is poised to offer enhanced Managed Services and Professional Services to its customers in Brazil.”

According to Claudio Miranda, CEO of Unitech, the acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for the company. “By leveraging Park Place‘s global resources and reputation for exceptional client service, Unitech is set to embark on a journey of growth and expansion in Brazil’s competitive tech landscape.”

Park Place’s Continued Investment in Talent and Resources

Industry analysts also recognize the significance of this acquisition. Luiz Fernando Monteiro, Senior Market Analyst for IT Services at IDC Brazil, highlights the growing demand for mission-critical hardware management and support services in the country. “With Brazil witnessing a surge in data center investments, Park Place’s focus on service excellence positions it well to meet the evolving needs of businesses across various sectors.”

Roy Illsley, Chief Analyst for Omdia, underscores Brazil’s status as a burgeoning market for the data center industry. He points out that São Paulo, in particular, accounts for a significant portion of new data center construction in the country. “As the demand for efficient and effective data center operations grows, vendors like Park Place are poised to play a crucial role in supporting businesses’ IT infrastructure needs.”
