Charles Giancarlo, Chairman and CEO of Pure Storage, emphasized the transformative potential of the platform: “Pure is redefining enterprise storage with a single, unified data storage platform that addresses virtually all enterprise storage needs, including the most pressing challenges and opportunities IT leaders face today, like AI and cyber resilience. The Pure Storage platform delivers unparalleled consistency, resilience, and SLA-guaranteed data storage services, reducing costs and uncertainty in an increasingly complex business landscape.”

Pure Storage’s latest innovations include:

Storage Automation – The new Pure Fusion feature unifies arrays and dynamically optimizes storage pools across structured and unstructured data, both on-premises and in the cloud. Embedded within the Purity operating environment, Pure Fusion enhances over time via non-disruptive upgrades, and is now available to all global customers.Generative AI Copilot for Storage – Pure Storage introduces an AI copilot for storage management. This innovative tool leverages data insights from tens of thousands of Pure Storage customers, guiding storage teams through complex performance and management issues and enhancing security incident responses using natural language.

A recent survey commissioned by Pure Storage, involving 1,500 global CIOs and decision-makers, revealed that nearly all respondents (98%) believe their organization’s data infrastructure needs improvement to support AI initiatives. With AI evolving at a breakneck pace, many organizations find themselves constrained by rigid storage architectures that lack the reliability and flexibility required for rapid adaptation.

To address these challenges, Pure Storage is rolling out these new platform innovations designed to accelerate AI deployments and future-proof businesses. The platform enables organizations to harness the power of AI, scaling capacity and performance independently and without disruption.

Key new features include:

Evergreen//One for AI – This purpose-built AI Storage as-a-Service offering guarantees storage performance for GPUs, supporting training, inference, and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. It allows businesses to purchase based on dynamic performance and throughput needs, eliminating the need for complex planning or overbuying by paying for performance as required.Secure Application Workspaces – These workspaces offer fine-grained access controls, combining Kubernetes container management, secure multi-tenancy, and policy governance tools. This integration facilitates advanced data interactions between mission-critical enterprise data and AI clusters, ensuring application owners gain automated access to AI innovation without compromising security or control.

Pure Storage is also set to expand its influence in the AI domain with planned certification for the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD by the end of 2024. Pure Storage was among the first enterprise storage vendors to achieve NVIDIA DGX BasePOD certification and NVIDIA OVX validation, underscoring its commitment to providing AI-ready infrastructure.

Pure Storage’s Ethernet-based storage solution would simplify the deployment of large-scale training and inference operations, helping democratize AI for enterprises. Additionally, Pure’s storage solutions are noted for their energy efficiency, consuming up to 85% less energy than other all-flash storage options, aiding customers in overcoming data center power constraints.

Charlie Boyle, Vice President of DGX Platform at NVIDIA, remarked, “Enterprises adopting AI need storage performance and flexibility as they architect their infrastructure to address AI workloads at scale. Pure Storage‘s certification with the NVIDIA DGX and OVX platforms helps deliver highly-performant solutions for customers at every stage of their AI journey.”
